We are delighted to extend an invitation for you to participate as a virtual panelist in our upcoming event, “Ahimsa in Action: Transforming the Future Through Nonviolence.” This virtual event will take place on October 5, 2024.

This year, we continue our tradition of celebrating Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy with the virtual screening of the award-winning documentary, “AHIMSA – Gandhi: The Power of the Powerless.” The film showcases the global impact of Gandhi’s philosophy of nonviolence and its resonance with influential figures like Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela.

Our event coincides with Gandhi’s birth anniversary and the UN International Day of Nonviolence, making this an especially meaningful occasion to reflect on how nonviolence can guide us in addressing contemporary challenges.

Your unique insights and perspectives would greatly enrich the interactive discussion following the weeklong streaming dates. We screened AHIMSA Gandhi: The Power of the Powerless in Brazil this summer, subtitled in Portuguese. We had a Brazilian actor who is well known there for his portrayal of Gandhi, the “Geral Consul da India” whose father was Gandhi’s correspondent in Brazil in 1948. He brought an original copy of the Harijan to show us when we had the ribbon cutting to “The Gandhi Room” in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
