Gandhian Reflection Camp 2025 Begins at Anasakti Ashram, Kausani: Youth for Truth & Peace March Highlights

A three-day Gandhian Reflection and Training Camp is set to commence tomorrow, Saturday, at the historic Anasakti Ashram in Kausani—where Mahatma Gandhi had stayed a century ago and penned Anasakti Yoga. This national-level event will bring together around 50 participants from across India, including Gandhian thinkers, activists, and youth representatives.

🌿 Key Participants Include:

  • Padma Shri Radha Bhatt
  • Prof. Iyengar
  • Prof. Hemant Shah
  • Senior Journalist Ram Dutt Tripathi
  • Prof. Siby Joseph
  • Sarva Seva Sangh Leader Ram Dheeraj
  • Prof. Ashwin Jhala
  • Senior Journalist Rajeev Lochan Shah
  • Prof. P.C. Tiwari
  • Advocate K.S. Bisht
  • Ramesh Mumukshu, Jagriti Rahi
  • Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Minister Lal Bahadur Rai
  • Bhuvan Pathak, and others.

On 8 June at 3 PM, a public dialogue will be held with Gandhians from Almora and Bageshwar, focusing on current societal concerns. The discussion will be followed by a symbolic peace march promoting harmony and justice.

Camp coordinator Ram Dutt Tripathi shared:

“We have long wanted to organize a contemplative workshop in the spiritual presence of Bapu. Our aim is to understand why Gandhian institutions, despite their large campuses and deep public reverence for Gandhi, are struggling to engage with contemporary society.”

🔍 Key Reflections:

  • Is there a disconnect in language or communication methods?
  • Are we failing in aligning ideals with actions?
  • Have we—or even Gandhi’s message—become outdated?

A special session of “Youth For Truth” will also be featured during the camp.

“Our goal is not just reflection, but also action. We seek to form an active, responsive network equipped to meet today’s challenges. That’s why we are also offering social media training alongside Gandhian values,” added Tripathi.
